Barn House

 

the present project has the role of a formative model for the still unbuilt area in which it is located. a fragile structure, a non-wall architecture, a starting point. Wood is the unique answer for structure, finish, cover. It is the material that gives the measure of the place, of the entire structure of the house. 

 

it rests on oak balls, and the reed roof is reminiscent of the nearby marshes, which abound in swampy vegetation. The spatial typology that characterizes the project is that of the room space. From the point of view of hierarchy, we distinguish the main spaces, shaped like two squares: the house and the yard. They are wrapped and protected by the secondary spaces: the vault, the small flower garden, the orchard and the vegetable garden.
